Please reach us at scheduling@besomeonecounseling.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
At Be Someone Counseling we offer services in both English and Spanish. All documents can be filled out in either language.
Think of it as a "vibe check." We’ll spend a few minutes talking about what you’re looking for and I’ll explain how I work. If it feels like a good match, we’ll get you on the schedule. If not, I’ll help you find someone who is.
Currently, we only offer services via our secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform from the comfort of your own home.
At the moment, we operate as a self-pay practice and are not in-network with any insurance providers. This model allows us to ensure the highest level of privacy and personalized care, as we are not required to share your clinical records with insurance companies or limit your treatment based on their restrictions. While we do not bill insurance directly, we can provide you with a Superbill upon request, which you may submit to your provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. We accept all major credit cards, as well as HSA and FSA cards, and will provide a clear Good Faith Estimate prior to your first session so you can plan your investment in your mental health with total transparency.
We require 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Because that time is reserved specifically for you, sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a late-cancel fee.
Standard individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes. For diagnostic or immigration evaluations, sessions may run longer (90–120 minutes), which we will discuss during your initial booking.
The process usually involves two clinical interviews and takes about 2–4 weeks to produce a final, comprehensive report. If you have an upcoming court date and need an expedited report, please let us know immediately.
You don’t need a script! Most people start with, "I just haven't been feeling like myself lately" or "I'm struggling with [X] and don't know what to do." My job is to ask the right questions to help you tell your story.
Most clients find the most progress with weekly sessions, especially in the beginning. As you start to feel more confident and "like yourself" again, we may move to bi-weekly or monthly "maintenance" check-ins.
If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please do not wait for a return call. Instead, reach out immediately by dialing 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline or visit your nearest emergency room. Additionally, consider seeking mental health services through a telehealth platform that offers a free consultation.
